At its core, HIPAA revolves around two main rules – The Privacy Rule and The Security Rule.

We already looked at what HIPAA is and the penalties involved. In this second episode, David we’ll break down everything about the two fundamental rules of HIPAA that you need to know!

The HIPAA Privacy Rule provides federal standards to safeguard the privacy of personal health information and gives patients an array of rights with respect to that information, including the right to examine and obtain a copy of their health records and to request corrections.
